Yes. The VI Peel is formulated to be safe and effective for all skin tones, including darker Fitzpatrick skin types.

While many clients see noticeable improvement after one peel, a series of 3–4 treatments may be recommended for optimal correction, especially for pigmentation or acne scarring.

Most clients experience only mild tingling, warmth, or redness during the application. The treatment is very tolerable.

Peeling varies by individual but is typically moderate and manageable. It usually begins around day 2-3 and lasts several days.

You should avoid makeup for the first 24 hours. After that, mineral makeup is recommended.

You’ll notice brighter, smoother skin within 7 days, with continued improvement as collagen production increases.

There is minimal downtime, but visible peeling will occur for several days (usually between days 3-5). Many clients plan treatments around their schedule.

To ensure optimal results and minimize irritation:

• Arrive with clean, make-up free skin.

• Skin Care: Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and active skincare for a minimum of 3 days prior to your treatment.

• Avoid waxing, laser treatments, or aggressive facials for 2 weeks prior.

• UVA/UVB Rays: Limit sun exposure and avoid tanning beds.

• Inform your provider of any health conditions, medications, recent skin treatments, or a prior history of cold sores.

• You and your medical practitioner will discuss which VI Peel will benefit you the most.

• Eligibility: Clients who are pregnant or nursing, have an underlying autoimmune condition (ie. Lupus) liver disease, or other disorder that may weaken your immune system are not eligible for chemical peel treatment. You MUST be off Accutane (Isotretinoin) for 6 months prior to peeling.

Proper aftercare is essential for best results:

• Do not pick or peel the skin—allow it to shed naturally.

• Use only the provided post-treatment skincare kit.

• Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily.

• Avoid strenuous workouts, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and excessive heat during your peeling process.

• Keep skin hydrated and follow all aftercare instructions closely.

• Use the post treatment VI Peel kit provided following your treatment.

• Makeup may be applied 24 hours following your treatment. Mineral makeup is recommended.
